An introduction to the use of Coventry City Centre Peace Trail in teaching about peace will run on 5 May.
Coventry’s willingness to set the past aside after the second world war and hold out the hand of friendship has given it an international reputation as a City of Peace and Reconciliation.
This booklet, produced by Coventry Lord Mayor’s Committee for Peace and Reconciliation, provides a handy guided walking tour containing maps which will lead you to over 30 sites associated with peace conveniently located within the city centre and describes each of them.
This CPD session will introduce the use of the Peace Trail in schools and follow part of the trail to give teachers a feeling for how they could use it with their children.
We will meet at the Herbert Art Gallery but you must arrive before 4pm as the gallery closes at 4.
