International School Award 2021 award ceremony was held at Alderman’s Green primary school in Coventry, taking place during Coventry UK City of Culture and International Education Week. The successful event was also held virtually to include schools who could not attend in person.

The International School Award (ISA) rewards schools that have shown a commitment to embedding international awareness and understanding within their class or school. It is organised by the British Council which supports schools in completing collaborative, curriculum-based work with a number of international partner schools and involvement of the wider community.

ISA offers new ways to develop and embed international education in a school. It is available in 16 countries and is well-regarded by school inspection bodies and ministries of education globally.

International friendship and understanding clearly helps to foster peaceful relationships between individuals and ultimately between nations.
