Children who live or go to school in Coventry or Warwickshire are invited to write a peace poem on this year’s theme of Neighbourliness. The deadline for submissions is 30 November and authors must be under 16 on that date.
The winning poems will be selected by a panel of judges. The results will be announced in January 2021. The authors of the best six poems from Coventry and Warwickshire will:
- Meet the Lord Mayor of Coventry or the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire
- Receive a Winners Certificate
- Read their poem at an award ceremony in January
- Receive a copy of a book in which their poem is printed
- Receive a book token
Children can also send a picture/drawing/photograph on the same topic for inclusion on the website and perhaps in the book, perhaps even on the cover!
